Negative Waterproofing Systems
Eternity Waterproofing provides specialist negative waterproofing systems for retaining walls, basements, lift pits and below-ground structures affected by hydrostatic pressure, active seepage and water ingress across Brisbane, Brisbane North, Caboolture and Moreton Bay.
How Negative Waterproofing Works

Successful remedial waterproofing begins with identifying the source of water ingress and understanding how moisture is entering and moving through a structure. Water may be entering through cracks, construction joints, retaining walls, below-ground structures or failed waterproofing systems, however the visible point of ingress is not always the original source of the defect.

The development of an effective remedial waterproofing solution requires assessment of the failure mechanism, building construction, moisture pathways and site-specific conditions to determine the most appropriate rectification strategy.

In many remedial waterproofing situations, the source of water ingress may not be practically accessible or capable of being completely eliminated. In these circumstances, consideration must be given to water management, hydrostatic pressure control, drainage pathways and the implementation of compatible waterproofing systems designed to mitigate ongoing moisture ingress.

Successful waterproofing outcomes are achieved through a combination of defect identification, water management and appropriate system selection. Falls, drainage and moisture control are critical components of long-term waterproofing performance and allow installed waterproofing systems to function as intended.

Common Negative Waterproofing Applications
Negative waterproofing systems are commonly utilised where hydrostatic pressure, moisture migration and active seepage affect retaining walls, basements, lift pits and below-ground structures. Eternity Waterproofing provides specialist remedial solutions where external waterproofing access is restricted, impractical or unavailable.
Retaining Walls

Specialist waterproofing remediation for retaining walls, masonry block structures and below-ground walls affected by seepage, moisture migration and hydrostatic pressure.

Basements

Internal waterproofing systems for basement structures affected by groundwater ingress, moisture migration and hydrostatic pressure.

Lift Pits

Negative waterproofing systems for lift pits experiencing active seepage, groundwater intrusion and ongoing moisture ingress.

Hydrostatic Pressure

Waterproofing systems designed to manage hydrostatic pressure and moisture migration where external waterproofing access is unavailable.
